ABOUT MICHAELA KALFF
Originally from New York, Michaela has been living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 20 years as a marketing strategy and communications professional. Michaela brings expertise in understanding the unique needs of each client and through effective messaging, creative concept development, content creation, and excellent project management, she delivers projects that successfully meet their objectives.
Before starting KS, Michaela was marketing director for a high-tech start-up where she spearheaded the relaunch of the company including the renaming, corporate identity development, and successful brand repositioning. Michaela was responsible for the design and execution of the website, a collateral family that supported the sales process, and demand generation activities - achieving a higher than average response rate.
Prior, to that Michaela was VP of Marketing for German software leader, Nemetschek. She launched their flagship CAD software and within a year, a previously unknown brand was successfully pitted against the incumbent nationwide. Michaela also held lead marketing positions during her 8 years with Autodesk. As Sr. Manager, Worldwide Marketing, she developed the first global corporate identity program, managed the design and editorial team, and created a worldwide communications plan which resulted in global standards and 30% cost savings.
Michaela attended NYU, the World Trade Institute, and completed AMA’s strategic management program. She is currently a member of the American Marketing Association and the International Women’s Writing Guild.
Michaela enjoys hiking in Marin and spending time with her husband, 2 daughters, 3 horses, and everyone’s favorite golden retriever.
